2009-10 Season Overview
Our 56th season will include three exciting performances:

Our Opening Night Concert was held at the Council Rock High School South in Holland. Titled “A Night at the Oscars”, it featured well known music from Oscar winning movies, including ET the Extra-Terrestrial, Star Trek, Harry Potter and Vertigo, and included a Movie Trivia Quiz for the audience. Bensalem Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo was our special guest conductor, as he led the Orchestra in “The Colonel Bogey March”.

Our “Youth in the Arts” Spring concert was performed at Council Rock High School South. The orchestra performed Dvorak’s “New World Symphony” and joined with the Central Bucks East High School student orchestra to play Beethoven’s “Egmont Overture”. As always at our spring concert, the musical compositions of the winners of our Youth in the Arts Competition were performed, and the works of the winning poets and artists were presented.

Our Summer Concert - the orchestra presented a free fun filled open air concert at the TD Bank Amphitheater in Bensalem. “Hands Across the Sea Pops” featured: Star Spangled Banner; Handel’s Royal Fireworks; South Pacific; My Fair Lady; An American in Paris; James Bond Themes; Sousa -Hands across the Sea, Stars and Stripes and the Colonel Bogey March, conducted by Bensalem Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo.
